Our Directors
Our Directors come with an impressive set of credentials.
Malcolm Crayton
Joint Managing Director (Operations)
Progressing from Warehouse Manager to Logistics Manager at a rapidly expanding clothing retailer in the 1990’s, Malcolm gained many skills. Developing a new operational supply chain system, from raw materials to shop till, his skills were tried, tested and verified. As part of this operational system, the centralised warehousing serviced four manufacturing units and ninety-nine retail outlets.
Re-locating to Suffolk in 1999, Malcolm found his skills put to the test again, creating and implementing a new 3rd party logistics solution for Taylor Barnard on behalf of a major high street retailer. Following the establishment of this successful operation, he climbed the career ladder to Operations Manager and then on to General Manager.
Managing their main Suffolk site, Malcolm utilised all his operational knowledge and expertise, developing a skilled and committed team who consistently operated at an exceptionally high standard, across the 1million ft² of warehousing and 25 vehicle fleet.
Accompanied daily in his office at CW Logistics by his two canine companions, Malcolm works alongside Andrew and Jon, concentrating on the operational aspects of the business.
Malcolm can regularly be found listening to the classical music he loves, developed from being a classically trained musician in his earlier years. A less relaxed, but equally passionate Malcolm, can be found shouting raucously for his home rugby team, Leicester Tigers, either in the stands or at the TV.
A family man, whose grown up children have flown the nest, he will no doubt be teaching his new granddaughter the rules of the great game soon!
Andrew Williams
Joint Managing Director (Finance / Systems)
A diverse career in logistics has given Andrew over 25 years to develop a depth of knowledge, insight and skills in every aspect of logistics. His extensive career began with 13 years at a National joinery manufacturer, where he was responsible for stock control management of a large number of trade centres. Moving to Taylor Barnard (subsequently taken over by TNT), Andrew progressed from managing a multi shift, 3rd party logistics warehouse, to General Manager at Felixstowe Docks, with control over their warehouses and artic vehicle fleet.
Andrews passion for simple, accurate solutions, individually tailored to each customer’s needs, combined with his strengths in finance, systems and commercials, presents the perfect mix of attributes. When the opportunity to combine forces with Malcolm presented itself, CW Logistics Limited was born.
Andrews other passion is Norwich City FC and he can regularly be found at the ground on match days, wearing his green and yellow scarf, and cheering his team on. You might also find him on the golf course, probably still wearing his scarf! When not using his season ticket, or playing a round, he can be found enjoying family life, walking and holidaying with his wife and their adult children.
Jon Wright
Business Development Director
Jon joined CW Logistics in 2014, bringing 25 years of experience and expertise in business & commercial development. Having worked within well-known and respected companies such as Securicor Omega Logistics, TNT Logistics, Taygroup and Bibby Distribution, Jon has an in-depth understanding of the world of logistics and how to meet the needs of existing and potential customers. Focussing on growing the business is something Jon is incredibly passionate about, having built up and run his own successful business, Taygroup, before selling it on to Bibby Distribution in 2010 to spend more time with his family.
Fitting well into his new work-life balance, joining Malcolm and Andrew at CW Logistics was an appealing option, having collaborated with them in past working relationships.
Jon is a real family man, enjoying life at his Suffolk home with his wife and three active, football loving boys. Dad’s taxi service frequently ferries the boys to their various football matches, but still manages to fit in some ‘me’ time playing snooker and cycling.
