🟦 Office Administrator/ Logistics Administrator 🟦

Due to our continued expansion and restructuring we have an exciting opportunity for a full time Administration Clerk to join our office team. The successful candidate we will be a great team player who continually strives to improve and in exchange we are offering an excellent package with competitive salary and benefits.

Essential skills required for the successful candidate;

  • Experienced in using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Experience of Data Inputting
  • Experience of working within a busy office environment
  • Ability to organise and prioritise own workload
  • Strong Team Player
  • Excellent communication skills

Desirable skills;

  • Logistics or Warehousing Experience
  • Knowledge of working with a WMS system (Warehouse Management System)
  • Awareness of Customs procedures
  • Understanding of ISO
  • Excel Macro knowledge would be an advantage
  • Minimum of 2 years administrative experience

Role Profile;

  • To work as part of the overall Administration team ensuring accurate receipt and order processing of our full client base on a daily basis, whilst maintaining excellent communication with our clients.
  • To follow the company processes and procedures
  • Ensure all housekeeping tasks are completed including filing and archiving
  • Provide assistance to the Office and General Manager as required

Hours

Full time position – Monday to Friday 08.30 am to 16.30pm. Initially there will be a 3-month probationary period leading to a permanent contract

Salary: £20,628.00 per year

🟦 Warehouse Operative 🟦

CW Logistics Ltd, Eye, Suffolk, is a well-established and successful logistics company. We pride ourselves in providing a first class logistics service from our 100,000 sq. ft. ‘Excise Bonded’ warehouse and 240,000 sq. ft. fully racked warehouse offering storage, a pick n pack operation, e-commerce fulfilment, container de-vanning and cross docking facilities.

Due to continued expansion we have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Operative, with an enthusiastic can do approach. This role reports directly to the Warehouse Manager. You will be working in a fast paced warehouse operation, picking, packing, unloading containers and general warehouse duties in our Distribution facility in Eye, Suffolk. We offer an excellent package with competitive salary for the right candidate.

Own transport is essential

As a Warehouse Team Member, your duties will include:

  • Receiving goods into the warehouse, predominantly imported and via shipping containers
  • General warehousing duties surrounding the handling, preparation and control of stocks on behalf of customers
  • Picking, packing and assembly of orders to company / customer service levels in readiness for dispatching
  • Appropriate loading of customers’ orders to despatch vehicles, depending on relevant training
  • Carry out all tasks in line with company procedures and with Health and Safety to the fore at all times
  • Hours of work will be Monday to Friday 7am until 4.30pm with a half hour lunchbreak.

Key requirements for the role are:

  • Own transportation is essential as we are not accessible by public transport
  • Experience and ability to manually handle a variety of items, which range in weight and size (relevant equipment and manual handling training will be provided)
  • Good level of literacy & numeracy and ability to pay attention to detail when processing orders to ensure accurate records and ensure items are shipped correctly

Desirable skills include:

  • Flexi-Fork truck/LLOPT licenses are desirable if you have them but not essential, as we will give full in-house training to the successful applicants depending upon requirement.
  • Previous experience of working in a busy racked warehouse environment

Competitive Salary – £10 per hr. for a 42.5 hr. week.

This Warehouse Operative position is a full-time role. On offer is a salary of £425 per week

Work Experience

We are working hard with a number of schools within the areas of our two sites, to developing an exciting programme to offer candidates a week of experience in warehousing and logistics in general. The intention is to highlight the numerous possibilities of future careers for individuals who have no knowledge of our industry.

Apprenticeships

During 2020 we are developing a full apprenticeship programme in collaboration with West Suffolk College.

Ideally the scheme will be in two parts:

  • A practical section which will cover a general knowledge of all aspects of our industry and specifically the part we play within companies supply chain.
  • And a specific more detailed section which will allow the candidate to focus on their preferred areas of logistics
