Carbon Footprint Reduction Success
We are super happy that in 2024 we were able to significantly increase our understanding of how to accurately calculate our Carbon Footprint. This has been achieved by the release of better publications and mechanisms allowing us to include waste in our carbon footprint for the first time.
With this knowledge we have subsequently been able to revise our previously published carbon footprints, to now be inclusive of waste.
For the first time we have also been able to capture some downstream data. As we work to increase our ability to capture both downstream and upstream data, this will inevitably push our carbon footprint higher. With this knowledge we have been able to undertake a harmonisation adjustment to our previous published figures, to allow a true comparison of 2024 to previous years.
Adjusted figures for the previous two year are:
2022 = 17.128 per m2 2023 = 11.809 per m2
Whilst our carbon emissions remain relatively unchanged in comparison to 2023, due to Government Factoring Mechanisms being changed in 2024, it appears that our carbon footprint has significantly reduced, at 5.03 per m2.
We continue to work towards Net Zero by 2035
